Can the HCG weight loss shot cause pregnancy symptoms?
I was taking the HCG injection shot for weight loss purposes for about a month or so and lately have been having sore breasts, occasional cramping, spotting, moodiness, fatigue and depression. I took a pregnancy test and it came up negative. Just curious as to whether or not these symptoms could be from the injections rather that actually being pregnant.

Assuming you are taking the proper dosage of between 100-200 IUs each day you should not be experiencing significant hormonal changes. HCG itself is not a feminizing hormone nor will it in and if itself at those levels produce hormonal changes. What it does do is act as a precursor to your bodies own natural production of hormones. In the event you had or have a hormone deficiency HCG can be used by your body to produce the necessary hormone. But it does not in and of itself produce an increase in feminine hormones it simply provide your body with what it needs to make additional hormones if needed. Is it possible you are simply experiencing a normal monthly hormonal shift?
