My anti-depressant ?instructions? stated to inform my doctor of a missed menstrual cycle… The last time I had sex was in July on the 23. I began taking my anti-depressants in September about the 8th or 15th. I had my period in July (the 24th) and also in August. If I missed September’s period, would it be more likely caused by my anti-depressants, or is there a possibility of pregnancy, even if I had last month’s period?
I just don’t understand why I would have had my period in August if I am pregnant?
Well I haven’t had sex in any way or form since July so I couldn’t have been pregnant after my August period.

Pregnancy an accident. I’m currently on Celexa and Wellbutrin.

I started taking anti-depressants about a month and a half ago and I am on birth control. I had an extremely short period last month and I haven’t started yet this month although I should have started by now. I took a pregnancy test that came back negative and I am wondering if my anti-depressant might be to blame.

Has anyone take anti-depressants while pregnant?
Are there any safe ones?
was your baby ok after birth?

I was on 100mg sertraline before i fell pregnant, by doctor told me that no anti depressant is 100% safe during pregnancy but still advised me to stay on then throughout my pregnancy, i had to come of them as i was scared of harming the baby.

The past few weeks ive not been coping well at all, spoke to my midwife and she told me there are safe anti-depressants to take during pregnancy.

Please no rude opinions or comments. I just want people who have taken or are taking an anti depressant during pregnancy to tell me how their baby turned out, and if everything went well. Some people have to weigh the benefits vs cons, and decide what’s best for them and their baby. I just want to know if anyone on here has gone or going through this. Anyone take Zoloft specifically? If so how long before you started feeling the effects?

take it becuz ive heard horror stories about getting off of it and i really dont wanna be prisoner to any drug for my life…i dunno what to do, i just know that i want to feel happy again and motivated to do things

My friend recently found out she was about 7 weeks pregnant. Her OB/GYN doc stopped all her anti-depressant medications. She is super depressed, but doc still says no anti-depressant medications. Her mother & her ex-husband (father of her older child) have died within the last 11 months. I try to encourage & go do fun female stuff with her but she just stays depressed. Are there any anti-depressant medications for pregnancy?

I’m just curious; if say I were to get pregnant now, & I’m on anti-depressants, (Prozac) how would that effect the fetus? I’ve always wondered & been scared I would have to have an abortion because it would complicate the pregnancy, cause birth defects, etc.
I’m not pregnant or thinking about getting pregnant; this is just out of curiosity & a “what if” because I am on medication.
