I had this question which is whether mood swings have any ill effects on the baby’s health and growth during pregnancy?
Thanks

yea!!!
Mood swings and irritability which are caused by the hormones of pregnancy do NOT affect the baby. They just make mom a basketcase and everyone around her walk on eggshells. LOL. Lots of moody, weepy, angry and emotional pregnant moms deliver really quiet calm babies!
It’s only extreme stress that you should worry about (from an outside source) because this can harm both mom and baby. For instance, something like physical/emotional abuse, death of a loved one, extreme hardship at work or in a relationship, etc).
I don’t think anybody knows; which means, no noticeable effect.
Not the mood swings exactaly but the stress does affect the baby. Say you have a mood swing and your yelling at your boyfriend or husband the adrenaline and stuff do affect the child.
No I do not believe so.. It is hormone fluctuations thats all…
Unless you get severly depressed or have psychotic thoughts.. THEN that is VERY Serious!
But if it is just that you are grumpy & irritable,..stuff like that.. Is very normal…When I was prego I went through my moods here & there.
My dad said that my mom was a B – itch on wheels when she was prego.. He couldn’t wait for her to pop me out.. & I’m normal.. (for the most part LOL!)
God Bless & Just enjoy your pregnancy the baby will be here before you know it!
No mood swings do not affect the baby, yet stress does. So do not worry so much and those around you can just deal with your mood swings, it is the least they can do for all you are going thru! You are going to be bringing the biggest joy to everyone around you soon enough.
