Seeming that the depression is actually steming from somewhere as you said “everyone wanting you to get an abortion and having no support” then no medication or drugs will help you get better from that.
I have dealt with severe depression at times and I would love to chat with you or at least give you advice on alternatives you should/can try before opting for drugs.

you can go to a regular doctor. I was really depressed also. The father of my child (who really helped with expenses ) went to jail and totalled my car that I only had liability on (it was his fault) so I lost my car, both my dogs were in the hospital dying from parvo and I was all alone in a house that I couldnt afford alone. I had some really bad deep depression also about the same amount of wks too.I was awaiting my approved medicaid also so what I did what sucked it up for the sake of my child and tried not to stress so much. I watched alot of t.v . to keep my mind off of it and once everything started looking up, I didnt need meds. Everything will get better if it did for me. i will pray for you.

medication during pregnancy is difficult and should only be prescribed by a doctor who knows your pregnant .so maybe the best thing until you see a doctor is find some one to talk to about why you are so depressed .and get out and walk a bit its surprising how that helps .other than that pregnancy its self can make you more upset than normal because your hormones are all over the place ….

Yeah, dont feel like you’re alone, prego depression occurs nearly as much as post-prego depression. Paxil is safe during prego, and can really help, it’s a category A-B. Nearly all the others aren’t prego safe (C, D, X). As far as I know, all Medicaid is back-tracked 90 days from the date of application. It is this way in WA where I live, OR, and Georgia where I have a good friend. Just call them to double check. Then make an immediate appt with your reg Dr, if you can’t see the OB/GYN sooner. Your reg Dr should be aware of safety levels for these meds during prego. There is so much study with meds concerning prego, that there is a special rating system for them.

Just try to relax, take deep breaths, listen to classic music and drink some chamomile tea. If you are totally broke down, have someone take you to the emergency room (they will see you w/out insurance and put you on sliding scale, or wait to bill Medicaid). Any ER Dr can prescribe something, at least a 1 month supply till you can get into the reg doc. HOWEVER, most anti-depressants take 3-4 wks to really kick in.

You can make an appointment at your nearest planned parenthood For free or local doctor, and right away. Not to be worried but to ensure the health of you and your baby, stress is something you need to control, and it may very well just be hormones and your body adjusting, get it checked asap!
