Is there an anti-anxiety medication either over the counter or Rx that is safe to take during pregnancy?

Currently take 25 mg of Seroquel every night, not a whole lot, but enough to work…unfortunately, also enough to cause birth defects.

No. Take nothing that is not recommended by the OB doc. Everything you put in your stomach goes to your baby’s system too.
NO…talk to your Dr. please don’t take anything that could harm that baby!! “natural” type meds are not approved by the FDA and a bad Idea when pregnant. try Yoga or moderate exercise.
Talk to your OB. They usually are very familiar with what meds can and shouldn’t be taken. Seroquel, I think, is not a good one for pregnancy. If it’s a psychiatrist prescribing the Seroquel, you could ask there, too, but honestly, on this I’d go with the OB. First trimester is the most critical and sometimes a wash out period is needed for some meds, so talk to an OB before you conceive.
Nope!
But you can address anxiety through diet and habit.
For diet, here’s a link to get you started.

For habit, find something that distracts you from your building anxiety. Painting, walking, playing a video game, baking, calling a good friend, whatever it takes. Step away from the situation causing you panic and do SOMETHING ELSE. Even if its just laying in bed and your mind is racing, get up and do something else.
Good luck, hope those help. Drug free, safe, and you can keep using those techniques forever!
