Pregnancy anxiety at times?
This is my first pregnancy and I am going on 18 weeks.
My husband and I are really excited. I am a very impatient person so I know this pregnancy is teaching me patience every day! lol
Anyways, there are days where I look at my little growing belly and I am like “Holy crap, I have a baby growing in there!” and that kind of scares me.
I get thinking about all the things to come and I have to do and get a little nervous and anxious.
Anyone else get this from time to time?

YUP! I think I freaked out all the way into the third trimester. Then I relaxed and said that we’ll figure it out. Oh… then we went to the child birth class, and saw all the videos…then I freaked out again….
Try to channel the nervous and anxious into excitement. I started decorating the baby’s room, crochet and sewing, organizing everything… you know, the whole nesting bit. It helped to channel my anxieties. You’re going to be parents, and it’s cool, and everything’s going to be okay. Have fun with your baby bump and try to do some exciting things to prepare!
yes i do that all the time! im due in a few weeks and im like, oh gosh, i hope the baby is okay in there while im having her!
its normal,,totally normal
Yeah, I’ve definitely experienced that a lot, especially in the first trimester. The anxiety seems to have shifted lately, away from “holy crap I have a baby in there” and more toward safety-related stuff (I get anxious in the car for some reason, like I’m afraid an accident is going to occur). Anyway, I definitely relate to what you are experiencing. I think starting my baby registry has helped a lot – like someone else said – putting energy into creative stuff.
