Why do they need to know how many sexual partners I have had in my life, or if I’ve ever had a miscarriage or suffered from depression or if I have ever been abused….I hate writing private things down and it really ticks me off.

I’m 8 weeks along and I’m still on Lexapro. They say not to take this into the 3rd trimester but I am wondering how I am going to deal with my depression if I go off of it? has anyone here experienced taking Lexapro while pregnant too? Have you stayed on it your whole pregnancy? My first prenatal appt isn’t until 2 weeks from now. Any answers from others with experience is welcome.

I think I have decided that I will cut back slowly – first from 20 mg then go backward until I am down to 5mg. I’m going to talk to my doctor about this when I go see her on the 29th but I may see my regular doctor that prescribes it for me before then. Thanks for all who replied! – T

Has anyone take anti-depressants while pregnant?
Are there any safe ones?
was your baby ok after birth?

I was on 100mg sertraline before i fell pregnant, by doctor told me that no anti depressant is 100% safe during pregnancy but still advised me to stay on then throughout my pregnancy, i had to come of them as i was scared of harming the baby.

The past few weeks ive not been coping well at all, spoke to my midwife and she told me there are safe anti-depressants to take during pregnancy.

Please no rude opinions or comments. I just want people who have taken or are taking an anti depressant during pregnancy to tell me how their baby turned out, and if everything went well. Some people have to weigh the benefits vs cons, and decide what’s best for them and their baby. I just want to know if anyone on here has gone or going through this. Anyone take Zoloft specifically? If so how long before you started feeling the effects?

I had my baby at 39 weeks. He is my gaurdian angel now. I want to try again but I am afraid that it may happen again and I would not be able to handle that.

im not on any meds was doinging really good with st johns and sami but stoped when started trying for baby now 5 mths and cant get a job was fired from my last due to my belly showing and its going down hill from there advice plz

So last week I found out that I am pregnant. I am 5 weeks pregnant and going insane trying to figure out how I got pregnant. I have been on it for 11 months and took it every night like clockwork. I was also taking other medication for depression but my doctor said that those do not interact with the pill. Has anyone else ever got pregnant on the pill? My husband thinks I am deceiving him some how. I am so much in shock since this is very much an unplanned pregnancy.

I take both of these medications for severe anxiety and depression. It is an absolute medical necessity for me. I am considering getting pregnant in a few years, as my wedding is in October. My ob/gyn told me today that neither of those medications should be taken during pregnancy. Ideally I would like to not take anything during pregnancy, but I am pretty sure that may not be plausible as I have a history of horrible panic attacks and hospitalization due to psychiatric symptoms. I have been stable for several years now on medication and haven’t been hospitalized in 12 years.

Has anyone here taken these drugs during pregnancy? What happened, if so?

Just wondering.

I just experienced my second miscarriage and Im taking it pretty hard. I cant shake this hopless feeling. Has anyone sought therapy? if not, how did you escape the feeling? Any advice/help at all would really be helpful right now. I don’t like feeling this way and I dont know what else to do.
