infertilityhospital.blogspot.com

Pregnancy loss is the death of an unborn baby at any time during pregnancy. It is estimated that pregnancy loss occurs in over half of all early pregnancies. Most of these occur so early that the mother does not even know she is pregnant. Although 15 to 20 percent of diagnosed pregnancies are lost in the first or second trimesters of pregnancy, nearly all occur during the first trimester. Only about 1 percent of diagnosed pregnancies are lost after 16 weeks. Pregnancy loss includes:

blighted ovum – pregnancy loss before 8 weeks in which the egg is fertilized but never develops into an embryo.
miscarriage – early pregnancy loss, also called spontaneous abortion.
ectopic pregnancy – the development of the fetus outside the uterus, in a fallopian tube, cervical canal, or the pelvic or abdominal cavity.
molar pregnancy – an abnormal development of placental and fetal tissues, occurring in about one out of 1,000 to one out of 1,500 pregnancies.
stillbirth – when the fetus dies before birth.
What causes pregnancy loss?

The vast majority of pregnancy losses are due to genetic or chromosomal abnormalities. However, other factors can also play a role in pregnancy loss. These include, but are not limited to, the following:

abnormal embryo development
hormone problems in the mother including low levels of progesterone or abnormal thyroid function
diabetes in the mother (especially in women who have poorly controlled blood glucose levels)
abnormalities of the uterus including scar tissue inside the uterus, abnormal formation or shape of the uterus, or myomas (fibroid tumors)
incompetent cervix – the opening to the uterus cannot stay closed during pregnancy.
infection (including organisms such as cytomegalovirus (CMV), mycoplasma, chlamydia, and ureaplasma, as well as listeriosis and toxoplasmosis)
antifetal antibodies – the mother’s immune system recognizes the fetus as a foreign body and rejects it.
autoimmune diseases (conditions such as lupus erythematosus in which the body makes antibodies against one’s own normal body chemicals; other autoimmune problems include antiphospholipid antibody syndrome)
cigarette smoking (there is an association with pregnancy loss and cigarette smoking)
exposure to toxic substances and chemicals such as anticancer drugs (studies are conflicting about the relationship of substances such as anesthetic gases, alcohol, and caffeine to pregnancy loss; exposure to video display terminals, or computer screens, has not been shown to be related to pregnancy loss)

Some women have recurrent problems in which pregnancy loss occurs over and over, usually three or more times. It is often difficult to find a cause for recurrent losses and couples may need additional testing for genetic or chromosomal problems.

Fortunately, most pregnancy losses are usually isolated events. A woman with a spontaneous early pregnancy loss has an 80 to 90 percent chance of a normal pregnancy the next time she conceives.

Why is pregnancy loss a concern?

Some pregnancy losses do not cause any problems, while others may be very serious and life threatening for the mother, if untreated. However, the most difficult part for most families is the emotional stress of the loss itself.

The loss of a baby at any time in pregnancy can be emotionally and physically difficult for the mother and other members of the family. For some families, the timing of the loss in the pregnancy may make the experience more or less difficult. For example, an early loss, before the mother even knew she was pregnant may not be as stressful as a loss later in pregnancy, after feeling fetal movement or seeing the fetus on ultrasound examination. However, parents may have strong feelings and sadness whenever a loss occurs.

Parents often experience a grief reaction to a loss, including feelings of the following:

shock, numbness, denial, and confusion
anger, guilt, searching and yearning
disorientation, depression, withdrawal, lack of energy
reorganization, resolution

These are normal responses to loss and may take months and sometimes years to work through. Experience with grieving families has found the following to be helpful:

seeing or holding (this is especially important in later pregnancy losses and with babies who die with a birth defect)
remembrances (including a lock of hair, hand or footprint, photographs, naming of the baby)
counseling (with a professional who is experienced in bereavement counseling)
memorial or funeral service
What are the symptoms of pregnancy loss?

Vaginal bleeding is the most common symptom of pregnancy loss. In later pregnancy, a woman with a stillborn may no longer feel fetal movements. However, each type of loss has specific symptoms. Also, each woman may exhibit different symptoms or the symptoms may resemble other conditions or medical problems. Always consult your physician for a diagnosis.

How is pregnancy loss diagnosed?

In addition to a complete medical history and physical examination, diagnosis of pregnancy loss is usually based on laboratory tests, with reported symptoms aiding in the diagnosis. Tests used to diagnose pregnancy loss may include:

pregnancy blood tests for the hormone human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG)
ultrasound – a diagnostic imaging technique which uses high-frequency sound waves and a computer to create images of blood vessels, tissues, and organs.
Treatment for pregnancy loss:

Specific treatment for pregnancy loss will be determined by your physician based on:

your pregnancy, overall health, and medical history
gestational age of the fetus
your tolerance for specific medications, procedures, or therapies
the type of pregnancy loss
your opinion or preference

Once pregnancy loss occurs, the uterus must be emptied of all the fetal tissues to prevent further complications. Counseling and support of the family is important. Your physician can help you find resources and support organizations that can help after pregnancy loss.

It happend under special circumstances I was with a man much older than me and he became abusive when I got pregnant I had him leave. I chose not to have an abortion like my family wanted. WHen I finally found out that my baby had died at around three months while I continued carrying it for another two my family had grown a little more nostaligic. They had bought many things for the baby. I too had grown excited and experienced many other emotions pregnant mother’s go through. I was worried I lost a lot of weight before my surgery. Once it was over and the pregnancy gone I experienced a deep sadness. I never blamed anyone it just happend but my family thinks I should stop blaming my ex. I try and try to convince them that I don’t blame anyone for this it was god’s will, I was relieved as hard as that is to admit I’m too young to have childredn. I think god understood this. What should I do?

About a month ago (my birthday as a matter of fact) I went into the hospital with a tubal pregnancy. Needless to say I was in surgery immediatly and hospitalized for 3 days. I was not allowed to return to work for a month. I had no idea I was even pregnant, and I had mixed feelings at the time. I have a steady boyfriend who I have lived with for over a year, I am 27, and sometimes I really want to have a baby and sometimes I think it’s best to wait. I have no other kids but I am a sort of step mother to my boyfriend’s 7 year old. I am happy with my life but ever since this has happened I have been dealing with feelings of loss secretly. I lost my mom in Dec 2003, and this has also brought back sadness of that as well. I just wish I could snap back out of this funk and go on with living.

My cat just had kittens and for the past two months she has been losing her hair on her back half, legs and stomach. She has no redness or irritation of the skin. She isn’t excessively stratching the area and I don’t visibly see any fleas. Could this be stress associated with her pregnancy? I would like to take her to the vet but was told that they would give her antibiotics and if it was a skin irritation that they would clear it,if not they would run more test. But wouldn’t antibiotics be harmful to the kittens if given to her. I would like to just wait to see if it clears up after she finishes nursing. I have another cat and he has not been exposed to whatever she has so I’m certain it’s not contagious. If it’s just stress related I’m afraid that I will send a lot of money needlessly for them to tell me this is what it is.

I have been feeling really nauseous but havent vomited, bloated, gaseous, crampy and have had a loss of appetite. A lot of these symptoms seem to be from pregnancy symptoms but ive been on depo for two years now. I look the same no weight gain imost recently had sex 2 to 3 weeks ago but also me and my boyfriend broke up a couple of days ago could these just be depression symptoms
I have been having unprotected sex and my period was never on time it always came and went when it wanted too and with the depo i dont get any bleeding. so im thinking maybe this could be when my period is supposed to be…
so all of this started the 3rd and now today is the 7th and it has yet to subside. I feel soo crappy and still not sure whats going on.

After Pregnancy Weight Loss – Six Effective ways After Pregnancy Weight Loss

After Pregnancy Weight Loss is slightly different from normal weight loss as there are other considerations. You have a new life to care for. You need lots of energy. Your body has gone through a trauma.

Step One to After Pregnancy Weight Loss – Give yourself lots of TIME.

The best thing you can do is eat healthily during pregnancy thus reducing the amount of weight you put on and increasing nutrition to both of you. This reduces the need for after pregnancy weight loss to a minimum. Even if you do this the amount you put on in pregnancy is about 25-35 pounds and as an average, you only lose 14 to 21 pounds after the birth so you still have a way to go to return to normal weight. Normally every one wants to lose weight fast yet now there are other considerations and its best to give you plenty of TIME during after pregnancy weight loss.

Step Two to After Pregnancy Weight Loss – Have GOALS

What are your goals for after pregnancy weight loss? How much weight do you need to lose and by when? Remember you have used a lot of energy both carrying and having the baby. Your body has been through a lot so you need to take your time now and give your body a chance to recover. You also have a little one to take care of so you need to be very careful how you eat – no rushing. After pregnancy weight loss should be slower than normal.

Step Three to After Pregnancy Weight Loss – Don’t worry about weight loss – Eat Healthily

For the first few months it’s more important to eat healthily – especially if you are breast-feeding so both of you get plenty of nutrition. Your whole life will have changed. The last thing you need is added stress and worry of after pregnancy weight loss. Once you feel up to it, you can increase your exercise and start your diet – slowly!

Step Four to After Pregnancy Weight Loss – Eat a well balanced diet

Eating the right foods and keeping active go a long way to losing the weight and feeling good about you. However, knowing what the best course of action to take to how best to After Pregnancy Weight Loss is difficult. It is best to check out several weight loss plans if possible. Make certain you have enough of all the food types necessary.

Step Five to After Pregnancy Weight Loss – Enjoy the Journey

Part of your after pregnancy weight loss plan should, if possible, take time out for yourself. Although, it’s almost impossible with a new born its also much more important. No, no one can look after your baby like you – but do they have to? You will be a better mom for it and enjoy the journey of motherhood much better if you can.

Step Six to After Pregnancy Weight Loss – A Great Weight Loss Plan

Now a few months have past and you and baby are in a routine you can look for a great after pregnancy weight loss plan to get you back in shape. Still take it easy though; there’s no hurry. Before you know it, you will be back in a bikini looking and feeling great!

If you suffer from memory loss or attention deficit, there may be a simple and natural solution to provide your brain with the food it needs to reverse these affects and to put you on the road to remembering items that seem to have escaped your thoughts the past few years.

It’s been discovered that Omega 3 is also essential during pregnancy. As the baby develops, it will drain fat from the mother. It can reduce the mother’s brain by ½ its fat supply. If the mother does not replenish her Omega 3 during pregnancy, there is a high risk of postpartum depression and it can take up to 4 years to rebuild the fat needed in the brain.

On a daily basis we hear of children and adults with ADD. More and more women are now suffering from memory loss as they reach their middle years. There have been countless studies that have shown that memory loss is no longer a “Senior Moment” but is happening more to high school and college students at a growing rate. Many people started experiencing memory loss in their mid 30’s and worsens as they start to get towards the menopause.

Many people have recently realized due to the notoriety and press provided to the public, many have found that by simply taking an Omega 3 supplement on a daily basis, many became as sharp as they were when they had been in their 20s.

The good news is that many see these results after a few months. There is no expensive programs to join or potions to mix, just go down to your local health food store and speak to you doctor and I am sure you will noticed results within a few months.

It is important to use an Omega 3 product that is highly refined and does not require refrigeration. It should have no after taste and be in capsule form to allow for easy swallowing for adults and children.

These results people are experiencing after a few months continue to improve even years after they started the supplement regiment.

Omega 3 is the brain food of champions.

The following article presents the very latest information about Weight Loss After Pregnancy. If you have a particular interest in weight loss, then this informative article is required reading.

See how much you can learn about Weight Loss after Pregnancy when you take a little time to read a well researched article Dont miss out on the rest of this great information.

Sarah is a pregnant mother of three who continues to breast feed her 18 month old. After each of her pregnancies, she has had difficulty losing weight. With all of her responsibilities, weight loss isnt a priority. Still, she wishes that, once this pregnancy is over, she will be able to return to her pre marriage weight.

The average woman gains more than 25 pounds during her pregnancy. The procedure of childbirth may result in a weight loss of up to 14 pounds, which means that new moms still have considerable weight to lose once they leave the hospital. However, some women simply assume that this baby fat will never go away. Yet, it is entirely possible to lose weight during the post partum period.

A number of medical experts recommend easing into a weight loss program after the birth of your baby. This means that you will not start dieting until about three months following birth. You should combine a low fat diet with moderate exercise in order to achieve weight loss.

Don t expect instant results. It will take you a good nine months to get back to your weight prior to pregnancy. A go slow approach is best because you need to give your body time to recover after childbirth. Certainly, you might be able to lose weight faster, but you might be sacrificing valuable nutrients as a result.

Interestingly enough, breastfeeding actually enhances weight loss. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has found that breastfeeding leads to the release of hormones which enable your uterus to return to its normal size. However, breastfeeding alone won t bring down your weight. You need to combine it with a sensible diet and a moderate exercise program. Keep in mind that you need to have at least 1800 calories a day while breastfeeding in order to keep yourself and your baby healthy. Still, stay clear of junk food during this period. You should rely on food with high nutritional value to maintain the proper level of calories each day.

There are many good reasons to exercise during the post partum period. In addition to helping to accelerate weight reduction, exercise can help alleviate postpartum depression, improve your mood, and boost your confidence. Exercise can also clear your head so that you re better able to meet the demands of motherhood. You might consider joining a Mommy and Me exercise class so that your baby can exercise right along with you. Another helpful hint is to enlist the help of a friend or relative to act as your exercise buddy so that youll have some emotional support while exercising. An added bonus of exercise is that it should boost your energy level, which is quite important when battling the fatigue, which comes from caring for a newborn.

Your diet should generally be low fat but not fat free vitamin rich and high fiber. Under no circumstances should you go on a fad diet. Such a diet could be quite harmful to your health and could actually slow your recovery from childbirth. It s a good idea to set weight loss goals, but don t go overboard. Recognize that there s a limit to the amount of weight you can lose during a given period of time.

You may see a number of actress moms gracing the covers of magazines shortly after the birth of their children. They appear svelte and elegant, totally devoid of baby fat. In the accompanying article, they may even talk about exercising right after childbirth. Such articles send new mothers a dangerous message that you must do all you can to become thin as quickly as possible after your baby is born. Such a philosophy is not only ridiculous, it s also unhealthy. As a result, you ll need to tune out such messages from the media and stay the course with your own gradual weight loss plan.

The time right after the birth of a child can be quite challenging, taxing both your physical and emotional strength. While it is certainly a good idea to eat healthy, you ll need to pace yourself as far as weight loss is concerned. Over time, you should be able to lose the weight you gained during your pregnancy. In fact, you might find that you re actually healthier after your baby is born.

Take time to consider the points presented above. What you learn may help you overcome your hesitation to take action.

Isn’t it paradoxical that inspite of the fact that most of us enter the world as bald as a coot, and sometimes even exit that way, we spend our lifetime trying to maintain our hair through thick and thin. All of us lose between 40 and 120 strands of hair a day, depending on the amount of hair one has and its growth cycle.

Hair growth is not a continuous process. Hair follicles have a growth phase (anagen) and a resting, non-growth phase (telogen). Depending on how we treat our hair there will invariably be a variation in the amount of hair loss too. The lost hair is often so quickly replaced that we almost never notice its departure. But If you start to notice an alarming amount of hair on the bathroom sink or on your brush, if your pillow is covered with scads of loose hair, if your part seems to be getting wider or you’re seeing more scalp, you’ve probably got a problem and its time to take some action before you are fated to join the million men and women suffering from hair thinning or pattern hair loss. Hair loss and thinning can lead to anxiety, depression, and lack of confidence and fear too.

Why on earth did it happen to me?

Hair loss begins when a certain enzyme converts the hormone testosterone into another hormone called DiHydrotestosterone (DHT). Androgenetic Alopecia, or hereditary hair loss is the most common cause of hair loss. Roughly put, the more Androgens or the hormones that affect hair loss you have the faster you will lose hair. Men generally lose their hair in a horse-shoe shaped pattern; i.e. they lose hair at the top of their head. Women on the other hand very rarely ‘go bald’. Here hair thinning takes place with the part getting wider and the hair receding from the frontal area behind the frontal hairline. Telogen effluvium or hair loss due to emotional stress is another major cause for hair loss. What happens here is that hair goes through a synchronized shift from the anagen phase to telogen, the resting phase? This occurs after severe physiologic stress, such as any major surgery, pregnancy, death, divorce, loss of job etc. Usually once the period of stress is over hair growth slowly returns to normal.

Other factors for hair loss include use of birth control pills (relating to the amount of the progestin hormone in the pill), or a reaction to certain medications or even some supplements. Hair loss is also a known reaction to chemotherapy drugs. Thyroid, syphilis and other illnesses will also lead your hair to fall out. Improper care too plays a role in hair loss. Pulling the hair by wearing a very tight pony tail, cosmetic changes like colouring the hair, rebonding too much blow drying , over zealously brushing your hair , can all cause hair to be pulled out prematurely.

Another important factor is diet. Improper diet, iron deficiency, dyes used incorrectly, losing too much weight too soon and menopause can also cause your hair to thin out.

So what can one do to slow down or reverse hair loss?

History tells us of how the Greek physician Hippocrates tried to alleviate his patients’ baldness with pigeon droppings. Aristotle tried goat’s urine to remedy his own baldness. Cleopatra prepared pastes for Julius Caesar made of ground horse teeth, deer marrow and charred mice mixed with bear grease. Its unlikely that any of these remedies bore fruit but the effort in that direction continues. One should however not lose hope as today, more than ever, there are many ways to slow down and even treat hair loss to a large degree.

First check if you are missing out on any of the following:

· Adequate intake of vitamins.

· Balanced diet rich in iron and protein.

· Intake of raw vegetables, fresh fruits, salads, green leafy vegetables regularly.

· Washing hair twice weekly with a light shampoo.

· Reduce anxiety, stress and sleeplessness.

· Check for infections of scalp.

If hair fall persists meet a dermatologist or a physician who deals with hair loss and ascertain the reason for the hair fall. No absolute cure for hair loss has been found so far, yet not all varieties of hair loss are untreatable. Drugs known to slow the onset of common baldness, minoxidil (Rogaine) and finasteride (Propecia) are available with prescription. These have gained wide popularity but few of its side effects are still coming to light.

Other Options

Surgical treatments are becoming quite popular as they give a very ‘natural’ look. Hair is transplanted from the back of the scalp from where it grows. This is a very expensive treatment and the can be quite invasive. Experts agree that a diet rich in whole foods and irons help promote hair growth. The food we eat shows in the quality of blood, and, therefore, the hair. For men, it has been suggested that a low fat diet may help decelerate the balding process. For women, hair loss could be a sign of a gastrointestinal problem, which needs to be checked. Lack of protein, or an excess or Vitamin A are a often stated cause of hair loss.

According to Chinese Medicine, hair loss is related to a kidney deficiency. The ancient texts caution that too much sweet or salt could cause hair to fall out. Natural remedies such as Aromatherapy, and natural supplements and herbs such as Saw palmetto oil, Folic acid,Silica biotin, and vitamin B5 are also said to help rejuvenate and maintain thickness of the hair. Ayurveda believes in a holistic approach to alleviate hair loss issues. It is based on the use of plant oils, herbs, as well as meditation, diet, exercise and massage to balance a person’s three doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) that make up one’s “Prakruti” (mind-body type). According to this ancient science, oils such as brahmi and Bhrigaraj oil reduce Pitta dosha in the hair follicles thereby stimulating hair growth. Mixing either of these oils with some coconut oil and leaving it overnight is a popular solution.

Everyone’s hair loss is different, and with constant care and attention one can reduce hair loss and have a head full of beautiful tresses.

Sarah is a pregnant mother of three who continues to breast-feed her 18-month-old. After each of her pregnancies, she has had difficulty losing weight. With all of her responsibilities, weight loss isn’t a priority. Still, she wishes that, once this pregnancy is over, she will be able to return to her pre-marriage weight.

The average woman gains more than 25 pounds during her pregnancy. The procedure of childbirth may result in a weight loss of up to 14 pounds, which means that new moms still have considerable weight to lose once they leave the hospital. However, some women simply assume that this “baby fat” will never go away. Yet, it is entirely possible to lose weight during the post-partum period.

A number of medical experts recommend easing into a weight loss program after the birth of your baby. This means that you will not start dieting until about three months following birth. You should combine a low-fat diet with moderate exercise in order to achieve weight loss.

Don’t expect instant results. It will take you a good nine months to get back to your weight prior to pregnancy. A go-slow approach is best because you need to give your body time to recover after childbirth.

However, breastfeeding alone won’t bring down your weight.

There are many good reasons to exercise during the post-partum period. In addition to helping to accelerate weight reduction, exercise can help alleviate post-partum depression, improve your mood, and boost your confidence. Exercise can also “clear your head” so that you’re better able to meet the demands of motherhood. You might consider joining a “Mommy and Me” exercise class so that your baby can exercise right along with you. Another helpful hint is to enlist the help of a friend or relative to act as your exercise buddy so that you’ll have some emotional support while exercising. An added bonus of exercise is that it should boost your energy level, which is quite important when battling the fatigue which comes from caring for a newborn.

Your diet should generally be low-fat but not fat-free; vitamin rich; and high-fiber. Under no circumstances should you go on a fad diet. Such a diet could be quite harmful to your health and could actually slow your recovery from childbirth. It’s a good idea to set weight-loss goals, but don’t go overboard. Recognize that there’s a limit to the amount of weight you can lose during a given period of time.

You may see a number of actress-moms gracing the covers of magazines shortly after the birth of their children. They appear svelte and elegant, totally devoid of baby fat. In the accompanying article, they may even talk about exercising right after childbirth. Such articles send new mothers a dangerous message: that you must do all you can to become thin as quickly as possible after your baby is born. Such a philosophy is not only ridiculous, it’s also unhealthy. As a result, you’ll need to “tune out” such messages from the media and stay the course with your own gradual weight loss plan.

The time right after the birth of a child can be quite challenging, taxing both your physical and emotional strength. While it is certainly a good idea to eat healthy, you’ll need to pace yourself as far as weight loss is concerned. Over time, you should be able to lose the weight you gained during your pregnancy. In fact, you might find that you’re actually healthier after your baby is born.

For any woman who has had a child, pregnancy can be a great experience excluding of course the nauseating pain that comes with child birth, but then that is an aside considering they have just brought a brand new life into the world. The problem is the pain is not the only side effect of a pregnancy, there is some degree of hair loss involved which is more of a postnatal effect as is well known by many mothers. Somewhere around 50% of women will experience this hair loss at some point in time after child birth. This usually happens within a one to five months period after child birth whereby in or around the third month is where in most cases the effect is really felt. This of course is a very distasteful situation and extremely unnerving especially since this affects their looks and their mood. What is even worst is when the person is a new or even worst yet a young mother which increases their rate for postnatal depression and lowering their self esteem.

What is the cause?

Hormones! Just that, hormones, the increase and/or loss of hair when it comes to pregnant women and new mothers is usually due to the flux in the level of female hormones, which basically is known as estrogen. Within the term of pregnancy most women would experience an increase in their scalp hair, which is because at this time there is a surplus of estrogen being pumped around the body. This causes their metabolisms to be sped up and nutrients spread to everywhere in the body including the scalp causing the increase in scalp hair.

After child birth however is the complete opposite whereby there is a decrease in estrogen in the body to return the body to its normal levels that it was before the pregnancy therefore resulting in what we deem, hair loss. Basically since the extra nutrients in the scalp can not be provided by the hormones anymore there is nothing to support the increase in hair therefore the hair gained falls out. There are also other causes that add to pack when it relates to this type of hair loss like discontinuing the use of contraceptives, miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion and hormonal imbalance resulting from various reasons.

Most women fortunately do not have to worry considering this effect is only temporary and most come out of this problem without even taking any treatment for it since the body does the work for itself. There is however some cases whereby the hair loss continues after the predetermined period and becomes something to worry about especially if the person was already afflicted with very thin hair in the first place. No real need to worry though since there are treatment options available to help out in form of hair care and hair nutrition which are the major factors in promoting healthy hair after child birth.

Hair Care

Proper hair care has been found to be in this case a major helper in the restoration of the hair to a thicker and lusher growth. Some of these methods however should be avoided during this time though because they put too much stress on the scalp such as pigtails, cornrows, hair weaves and braids. Using tight hair rollers is also not recommended. The application of essential oils is also helpful as they promote healthy hair growth which may include lavender, neroli, patchouli and sandalwood. Shampoos and conditioners containing biotin and silica are also advisable options available. What should also be noted is that wet hair should not be rubbed hard since the hair is usually brittle at this time.

Nutrition

As with all others symptoms the body may experience a healthy diet is always the way to go and especially so for hair loss after pregnancy. Foods like fruit and vegetables are usually the most ideal for the promotion of healthy hair and growth. Also along with you doctor advice which he/she can advise you to a prescription of nutritional supplements which can include Vitamin B, Vitamin, C, Vitamin E and zinc which an excellent source of nutrients for the hair.

See how much you can learn about Weight Loss After Pregnancy when you take a little time to read a well-researched article? Don’t miss out on the rest of this great information.

However, breastfeeding alone won’t bring down your weight.

Take time to consider the points presented above. What you learn may help you overcome your hesitation to take action.

It is considered normal for people to lose 50-100 hairs per day. If you ever lived with someone who has long hair, you are probably well aware of this fact. Hair Loss generally is noticed in one of two ways. With common pattern baldness, the loss is gradual. It can start as early as puberty, or very late in life. Sudden loss of hair, or loss in clumps usually indicates a different problem. This type of symptom could be caused by a number of factors, including hormonal changes, medications, thyroid problems, among others

In male pattern baldness, the hair loss generally is gradual. The hair usually thins out first in the front of the scalp hairline and forehead and moves progressively to the back and top of the head. It tends to be progressive, and in many eventually, only hair around the ears, the sides, and back of the head remains, as an horseshoe-shaped pattern that leaves the crown of the head exposed.

The most obvious hair loss symptom is receding hairline, thinning hair, and hoarse-shaped pattern. While this symptom literally shouts at you, some people don’t catch it until it turns worse. It is important to observe yourself for any changes in your hair structure. For women, balding comes from the crown rather than the hairline. The main hair loss symptom for children is sudden losing of patches of hair from anywhere in the head. Sudden hair loss is also characterized by hair shedding in which patches of hair just fall away. Other hair loss symptoms are dry hair, brittle hair, heavy head and body hair or hairiness, presence of dandruff, and greying of hair.

Hair loss Causes in Male and Female

Iron deficiency: An Iron deficiency can sometimes produces hair loss. Such deficiency can be identified and corrected by medication.

Medication: For some people, prescription drugs can cause a temporary hair shedding. Obviously, if you are taking any prescription drugs whether short term or ongoing then check with your health professional for advice.

Hair loss is a natural part of the body’s process of renewal. As some hair falls out, new growth replaces it. However, this process may be accelerated by a number of conditions. Hormonal changes may contribute to rapid hair loss, such as during pregnancy or childbirth, or even when coming off the Pill. As these fluctuations in hormone levels drop off, the hair loss should clear up, so the condition is only temporary. In a recent study, hormone levels were studied in both male and female patients experiencing severe hair loss. The research points towards a complex interaction between sex and thyroid hormones that may lead to the condition.

Stress is another factor linked to hair loss. While it has not been proved definitively, emotional trauma has been loosely associated with hair loss, but milder strains and worries probably do the same thing. Stresses placed on the body may also cause a woman’s hair to jump ship. For example, crash dieting, in which a woman loses a large amount of weight rapidly, may also cause her to lose her tresses, too. Since stress is often transient, if its cause clears up, the resultant hair loss should disappear as well.

It is generally thought that hair loss is an inheritance from the maternal side; however chances of such an inheritance are 50%. The actual causes of hair loss are varied and may range from anything like exposure to chemicals, poisons and some medical treatments like chemotherapy. Stress is also another reason for hair loss which may include emotional trauma and depression.
