Yes, I would be depressed. Very.
See a therapist. Talk to your friends. Do some journaling.
Get some exercise out in the sunshine. Improve your diet if it consists of a lot of junk food. Consider adopting another pet (an adult pet, not a baby).
All three things are hard. I totally understand. But it usually gets better.
Yes, absolutely. If I get a paper cut, I get a little down. Just cut yourself some slack. You will be feeling better in no time. Just keep up your normal routine and you will be fine.
Of course, who wouldn’t? Possibly be comforted in remembering your child is in God’s memory and He will reunite ( intoduce) you as you live a life in harmony with His Christ’s teaching (John 17:3).
Also, in that, “he” isn’t born, only to suffer miserably; and you (worse) as well.
Yes, of course. If you didn’t feel any bad emotions then you might be a cold and callous person. Nobody has everything go 100% right in their lives. The world is imperfect. It is loaded with bad things, unfortunate events, tragedies, but good things too. We cannot understand it all, just live through it. Bearing the pain that comes from bad events is part of passing through. Let grief express itself. Don’t struggle or get emotional with resentment. Time heals. Remember we are called to continue on in faith no matter what because we cannot understand the bigger purpose and picture. Bad things in our lives are the fertilizer that grows our character.
Just one of those things alone would be enough for any person to be depressed…so all combined, absolutely.
Seeing a counselor to talk things out would probably help some. Depending on where you are or your situation, there is usually free counseling available if finances are tight.
Other than that, I would focus more on the things that you can control in your life and try to put your energies into things that will uplift you and help you feel better. Getting out of the house (even when you don’t feel like it) and trying out new things will make you feel better in the long run.
Grieving is normal, so don’t suppress those feelings, but be careful not to dwell on them too long. Try to remember the good things, give yourself a moment or two to be sad when the sadness hits you, but then try to move your thoughts to something positive after you’ve had a few minutes to reflect.
Yes, I’d be very depressed. What would I do? Uhh, mope around the house like a zombie. Seriously, I think you should keep yourself busy or do things that you consider to be fun so you don’t consume yourself with dark thoughts. So these thoughts won’t be there to hog up all of your energy. Sorry to hear about your loss (if you’re talking about your situation).
You can call your friends up, go watch a movie, start a new hobby or something. Just naming a few. There are so many new things you can do out there, besides sitting in front of the computer.
My dear friend 4 years ago my 12 year old son was killed within 3 days we lost a son then a new born puppy then 24hrs later my best friend a dog died of parvo.I am still haveing a hard time getting over my son,I am very much a man but this has hurt beyond belief I don’t know what to do with all the pain inside of my heart,all i KNOW IS LIFE GOES ON,one foot in front of the other,my problem is anger now. I wish I had an answer for you the pain is overpowering I know.It does get a little better I promise just keep going don’t give up,some say God is the answer some say concelling,I don’t know just know others are going through the same thing. Every day I see the news and hear about these young kids being killed in Iraq it breaks my heart,I,ve always cared but it’s differant now ,now I feel thier pain as if it were my son.Good luck in your quest for peace know that its ok to hurt and I will keep you in mind.
Yes, the same thing happened to me. I was depressed for a month. My friends and family helped me through everything. I got out of the house and had a weekend getaway. My other children were really the ones who helped me bounce back.
They made me laugh.
Well I would over the dogs, but the miscarriage? Hell I’d be inspected, injected, prodded, poked, photographed, videoed. I’d be on the cover of Rolling Stones magazine Time magazine. Scientists and Anthropologist’s would want interviews with me constantly. Oprah would want me on her show, and I’d make big dollars selling my story, People would point in awe at me, most would point me out for pity’s sake, and a few would have a good laugh at my expense. Being a male……having a pregnancy would be big news, and the miscarriage would be just as big.
Now if I was a woman?? You’re damned right I’d be depressed.
I would probably get another set of puppies from two different breeders, and copulate for another pregnancy. But that’s a man’s version of coping. I wouldn’t take it to heart. Listen to what the women here on the site say. One of them has a good plan better than mine I’m sure.
Oh my gosh, yes. That is a lot to go through in such a short period of time. I suggest you get another pet as soon as possible. It will help to relieve the feelings of loss and lonliness and give you a new little animal to care for and to love. Going through a miscarriage is very traumatic and I am sorry for your loss. Grieve all you need to, don’t feel bad about crying and getting those feelings out. Seriously, get yourself a new pet to share your feelings and your love with. I know it will help.
