Um, no you don’t. Unless your water breaks before your due date or you have other health issues, there’s no reason to rush off to the hospital right away unless you want to.
As for infection, the many vaginal exams laboring women are often given at hospitals can increase what is otherwise a small risk.
There is no medical reason a healthy woman who has had a normal pregnancy should “have” to go to the hospital “as soon as” her water breaks.
you have to go to the hospital as soon as your water breaks or you risk infection…….
Why do the doctors always look like they’re either falling asleep or at possible gun point?
